The KT Philosophy KT Creations is the architectural sister company to Leaf Furniture. Our mission is simple: to bring the meticulous standards, soul, and precision of high-end furniture making into the world of custom cabinetry and millwork. Based in our workshop in Revelstoke, BC, we bridge the gap between functional storage and sculpted art.

Our Journey: From Australia to the Revelstoke The story of KT Creations began across the Pacific. Our lead maker, Lars Laug, spent 17 years as a carpenter and joiner on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. It was there, building luxury architectural homes, that he realized a home’s true character lies in the details.

Inspired by the craftsmanship of traditional wooden boat building and a passion for Mid-Century and Scandinavian design, Lars and his partner Leesa founded Leaf Handcrafted Furniture in 2011. After a decade of international recognition—including being named one of Handkrafted’s "Top 10 Commissioned Makers" and shortlisting for Wood Review’s "Maker of the Year"—Lars felt the pull to return to his Canadian roots.

A Legacy of Craft We chose Revelstoke for its emerging creative scene and its rugged, inspiring landscape. Our workshop resides in a space with its own rich history—a building that served as the world’s largest supplier of spruce guitar tops for over 25 years. We carry that musical precision into every kitchen, vanity, and media cabinet we build.

The Maker: Lars Laug At the heart of every KT Creations project is Lars’s "furniture-first" mentality. Known globally for his transparent making process and technical skill, Lars approaches every cabinetry project as a unique commission. Whether he is working with Birdseye Maple, Black Walnut, or contemporary textures, he pushes the boundaries of the material.
